Near the end of 2007, Mike Filsaime and Ellie Drake who are well-known Internet marketer and network marketer respectively launched two reports within a week of each other:
- the death of network marketing
- the birth do network marketing
The reports mentioned that they won’t be selling anything … except that their mission was to help to change the face of network marketing.
And if you had followed along, they conducted a teleseminar after that that charges 20 bucks for a supposedly valued-at-200 bucks call in which they pitched a membership community - with even charter membership upgrade that will be given a copy of Mike Filsaime’s butterfly marketing. (Did you read that? They promised not to be selling anything!)
Well, NetWEB marketing - as they called it - is nothing more than applying the principles of Internet marketing to the field of MLM - that many Internet-savvy network marketers have been calling it as ‘Internet MLM’ (thus, the name of this blog)
While the way Mike Filsaime and Ellie Drake launched their new product - membership community - was brilliant marketing, I fully agree with the forward looking concept of looking towards the Internet as the key to a successful home based MLM or network marketing business, or better still, to make money online. Why do I say that?
This is what I feel is the catch if we simply think hard about it …
If we’re only contacting a warm list of contacts, we have a only a couple of hundreds (or at most a few thousand contacts if one is an extreme networker who meets new people everyday) of prospects.
However, if you’re making use of the internet to generate leads for your home based business, you’re looking at millions, if not billions, of people who are your possible prospects. In fact, all you need is just a fraction of a fraction of these people becoming your downline and you’ll be enjoying a monthly passive income way beyond your wildest dreams!
