At one stage, Brett McFall has to ask him, “What kind of brain do you have?” and even had to limit his answers by telling him, “Can you give short 20-word answers to our questions?” when Jay rumbled on and on, giving gem after gem, to every question Brett asked on behalf of the audience.
• Mark Joyner - known as the “godfather of Internet marketing”, gave an inspiring presentation that was totally different from the other speakers. He talked of transforming us into ‘freedom agents’ and multiplying them to help the world to become a better place for all. The audience was fortunate to have this man spoke at a seminar in 5 years!

I picked lots of new knowledge, information and gems in this 4-day seminar and will apply this to my existing Internet MLM and Internet marketing and coaching businesses. As this is what I call a ‘pitching seminar’, every speaker has a backend coaching program and/or products to offer. And I must say that they are so attractive and tempting!However, as I knew from firsthand experience, it would be very tough for many of the total beginners to Internet marketing (or newbies) to follow.

Have you ever considered working with a multi level marketing affiliate program in addition to a typical single-tier affiliate program?

I started off as an affiliate marketer but soon realized that affiliate marketing alone is not really a long-term business. That is exactly what Singapore’s Ewen Chia, widely known as the world’s No. 1 Super Affiliate, said at the World Internet Mega Summit held in Singapore on 28th May 2007.

In fact, world famous Internet marketer, Stephen Pierce put it in another way a day before: Affiliate marketing should not be allowed to be taken as a ’straitjacket’ or ‘ball and chain’. Affiliate marketing should be part of the market view of Internet marketers who should incorporate as many ways of capturing profit in their markets as possible, such as pay per ads like Google AdSense as well as marketing their own products.

First, affiliate marketing means selling someone else’s products and be paid a commission doing so. The idea here is to make recommendations to match needs with the appropriate solutions created by others.

There are many such programs that we can easily locate through our favorite search engines like Google or Yahoo, or by going directly to an affiliate marketing program provider like Clickbank where around 100,000 digital products are available to promote as as affiliate marketer.

When you promote a single-tier affiliate program, what happens is that you get paid only once per sale. On the other hand, when you promote a multi level marketing affiliate program, you get paid over and over again for each sale.

Once I realized that, I focus a lot more effort on promoting multi level marketing affiliate programs while I continue promoting single tier products, market my own products, earn on pay per ads, etc.

With the same effort in bringing traffic to a single tier program, you could actually earn a residual income for each sale. Picture this: you make a sale and your customer becomes your affiliate marketer instantly and when he or she makes a sale, you get an overriding commission. And now the new customer-turned-affiliate makes another sale and you get paid again.

In other words, you leverage off other people’s time, energy, skills and resources to multiply your profits. Again, for a one-time effort, you get paid many times!

Thus,a multi level marketing affiliate program is like a typical single tier affiliate program on steroids!

To take it a step further, a multi level marketing affiliate program that charges a monthly fee for a certain product or service would give you a recurring, monthly income. It is like referring a member to a membership site where you’re paid a commission on a monthly basis as long as he or she remains an active member but it does not stop there.

If this new member refers another new member, you would take an overriding monthly recurring income. Sponsor a few more new members and they in turn sponsor a few who sponsor a few who sponsor a few…you get the picture!

One way to earn a passive stream of income is through a monthly profitable membership web site.

That was an important message delivered this morning by Armand Morin, one of the self-made Internet millionaires who has already gone on to making an 8-figure annual income per year!

Armand Morin was one of the speakers at the second day of the 4-day World Internet MEGA Summit, the biggest Internet marketing seminar in the world, held here in Singapore.

The ex-vacuum cleaner door to door sales man turned Internet entrepreneur in 1996 and earned more than a million dollars in his first year alone. Last year in 2006, he made US$10 million and this year, his profits will exceed US$15 million!

His 2-hour presentation was very educational, to say the least, where he shared his ‘Article Traffic System’ that comprises these steps:

1. Write an article of 300 to 500 words (such as this one that you’re reading)
2. Submit it to an article directory (such as www.ezinearticles.com)
3. Post it to a blog (such as my blog at www.internetmlmsecret.com)
4. Send it as a newsletter to your subscribers

His article traffic system resembles closely to Daegan Smith’s Free MLM Traffic system that he shared in Singapore last week during his ‘Advanced Targeted Traffic Generation Workshop. According to Armand, if you keep doing that routine once a week, traffic will be generated to your web sites incessantly.

Towards the end of his presentation, Armand talked about membership sites and said, “Why get paid once? It doesn’t make any sense to sell something and get paid once.”

That, to me, is a no-brainer. In fact, that’s the essence of a passive income stream: we do the work once and get paid over and over again, just like singers. They record a song once and earn royalty each time it is being broadcast.

However, most beginners in Internet marketing already find it challenging to set up a web site, much less a membership site. Thus, wouldn’t you agree that it’s a brilliant idea if all the work including the product and web site is already done for us?

And what’s left for us to do is to learn how to drive traffic to our membership web site and get paid each month over and over again when some of the ‘traffic’ gets converted to become members of that membership site like us.

Last week (3rd week of May 2007), an Internet MLM Expert, Daegan Smith flew all the way from the US to Singapore. This is his first time to Asia sharing some of his advanced secret traffic generation strategies.

Daegan Smith, 26-year old, is amazing. Not only he knows his stuff very well, he is one who walks the talk - no matter what he shared, he has already done it and is getting results through extensive testing and trial and error.

Shortly after he arrived, on one evening, he shared how he grew a network marketing organization of almost 6,000 people from around the world and earning up to $51,000 a month within 2 years solely through the Internet without any traditional network marketing techniques like cold calling.

This proves without a doubt that the rules of the network marketing industry are changing drastically.

Internet MLM has taken a new life and is giving a new hope to many network marketers who failed miserably before. For those who succeed in traditional network marketing, it is time to learn to leverage the Internet as a medium to accelerate their MLM business.

Following that, Daegan Smith conducted a one-day ‘Advanced Targeted Traffic Generation Workshop’ for his Success University downlines in Singapore.

It was a day packed with contents. Not only did he explain, he also showed screenshots of the results he achieved. He went through how to achieve targeted traffic generation like email marketing, blogging, article marketing, forum marketing, press release, newsletter advertising and pay per click marketing.

But here’s the most important lesson in his entire traffic generation workshop. In short, he revealed an entire new way of doing things with the simple stuff that we already know like a composer who combines the 12 musical notes into a beautiful piece of music.

This is what he taught us. He combines several traffic generation tactics like email marketing, blogging and article marketing into one awesome MLM traffic system that is not only free but highly effective in generating targeted traffic to our web sites and blogs!

Since Internet MLM is a special breed of vehicle to financial independence, many people tend to focus on doing this business solely through the Internet.

There’s really nothing wrong with that except for one thing…

If someone is already an intermediate or experienced Internet marketer, this is a great! Just put up their online campaigns and their results would start rolling in.

However, more often than not, I come across many people who are just beginning to pick up Internet marketing (whom are usually called ‘newbies’). After all, this is a new global trend that started in the US and now getting HOT in Singapore, Malaysia and other parts of Asia!

My point is this:

Newbies need time to learn and apply. There’s a learning curve that I estimate to be at least a few months, say 3 to 6 months. If there’s no one to guide them, they’ll take even longer. . . I’ve been through this myself, having invested heavily to attend seminars, workshops as well as acquire resources.

So, what happens during this period of learning is that newbies feel they are not earning while they are learning. . . And this is especially true for membership sites where some newbies might feel that they are losing money and might even give up altogether just when the results are about to come in. Sad but true. . .

For those who have some form of network marketing or MLM experience, it would be a smart move to jumpstart your Internet MLM business by sharing your work-at-home opportunity with their family and friends. (On the other hand, I would not advise the same for people who have no such experience as they would likely face lots of rejection which they are likely not able to handle and as a result, give up their Internet MLM business prematurely.)

In the meantime, they should put in the consistent daily effort to learn how to market their business online. In this way, they would begin to see results quickly due to the high touch nature of personal sharing and in time to come, when their online marketing campaigns start to kick off and bring in the results, they can place their new members under their family and friends.

Today, we talk about ‘Leverage Through
The Power Of MANY’ through the enormous
numbers of the Internet.

The Internet continues to expand at an
alarming rate…

The last I heard from the World Internet
Summit 2006 in Singapore was that the
Internet population will grow beyond
2 billion by 2010 (hey, that’s just
three years from now!

Due to this enormous number, the more
eyeballs you get to your website, the
chances for sales will be higher!

So, can you imagine your results when
you promote your website everyday
over the Internet? There will be a
snowballing effect that adds up over
time…

Next, let’s have a quick look on the
challenges of network marketing or
MLM.

Does network marketing or MLM work?

Network marketing (or MLM) is a GREAT
concept! No doubt about it.

Whether or not you agree with that,
the fact remains that it works.
Otherwise, companies like Amway won’t
be around for 50 years and many become
billionaires as a result!

However, for those who have gotten
their feet wet would agree with me
that there are certain drawbacks
(note that I’m not putting MLM down
- in fact, I’m a firm believer) and
here’s just stating a few:

(a) Too much effort in meetings,
presentations

(b) Too many rejections to face

(c) Not enough prospects

(d) Too many unknowns like unpredictable
company leadership management, “people”
issues like cross lining (after all,
it’s a people’s business :->)

Again, I’m not saying that MLM doesn’t
work; just look at those who succeeded
and getting 6-figure monthly incomes!

Now, what if there’s a way to solve the
challenges of network marketing (a) to (c)
above?

Frankly, I do NOT think anyone can offer
a solution to (d). (All you need to do is
recall that even BIG BIG companies have
disappeared from the face of this earth
just a few years ago.) You only can do
so much due diligence before getting
started…

If we can combine the LEVERAGE Of “ONE”
and “MANY”, we get the best of both worlds.

By bringing your network marketing business
online, you enjoy these benefits:

(a) You don’t need to be bogged down by
meetings that never end…

(b) You don’t need to face rejections
in person anymore (no matter how much those
leaders tell you that it’s absolutely
necessary)

(c) You won’t run out of prospects…ever!

Every of your downline member can
potentially bring in hundreds or thousands
of other downline members

- The Leverage of MANY

You have a potential to bring in hundreds
or thousands by getting your website in front

1990’s, many people are already
making money online.

What’s the difference?

Now, let’s talk about the Power of
Leverage Through The Power Of ONE.

You might have heard about The circle
of Influence.

Network marketing or MLM has been
around since the 1950’s and you
probably know of companies like Amway,
NuSkin who are leaders in this industry.

This business model relies upon word of
mouth advertising, meaning a person is
more likely to listen to the
recommendation of someone he or she
knows.

And since everyone, except those who
have been sleeping under their beds,
has a circle of influence of 3 to 5
closed family members and/or friends,
the business explodes exponentially,
at least on paper.

Thus, starting from ONE person, a
product or service can be marketed
through a network of many via the
“circle of influence”

A typical progression looks like this
if one person is able to bring just
2 members into a network marketing
business:

Starting from ONE:

1 x 2 = 2
2 x 2 = 4
4 x 2 = 8
8 x 2 = 16
16 x 2 = 32
32 x 2 = 64
64 x 2 = 128

I’m sure you get the picture…

IMPORTANT NOTE:

While you can make money online just
through affiliate marketing, having
leverage through a multi-tier affiliate
or multi-level marketing program will
make life alot easier once your
marketing gathers momentum.
